What is Restylane?

Laugh more, laugh lines less. Better looking from your nose to the corners of your mouth, courtesy of hyaluronic acid. No more deep wrinkles, lipstick lines or laugh lines.

Restylane is a crystal clear gel that is injected into the skin (or for some treatments just under) in small amounts to restore volume and structure. It is based on hyaluronic acid, similar to the body’s own hyaluronic acid. The hyaluronic acid in Restylane is of non-animal origin which means that no skin tests are needed and that there is a minimal risk of allergic or hypersensitive reactions.

Hyaluronic acid is one of nature’s most versatile and fascinating substances. It is found throughout the body as well as in most other living organisms. It has many functions, from giving the skin elasticity to lubricating joints. Hyaluronic acid can bind large amounts of water and this important property underlies the unique characteristics of Q-Med’s patented NASHA™ technology.

How is it used?

Laugh more, laugh lines less. Better looking from your nose to the corners of your mouth, courtesy of hyaluronic acid. No more deep wrinkles, lipstick lines or laugh lines.

Restylane can be used individually to add volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds or laugh lines); lipstick lines (the area just below the nose and above the upper lip); the corners of the mouth; and marionette lines (the area that extends downward from the corners of the mouth to the jawline).

What are the side effects?

Laugh more, laugh lines less. Better looking from your nose to the corners of your mouth, courtesy of hyaluronic acid. No more deep wrinkles, lipstick lines or laugh lines.

After your treatment, you may have some swelling, redness, pain, bruising, and tenderness. This will normally last less than seven days.
